It's a strange collection of people, that's for sure. If you'd asked Forge a couple of weeks ago if he'd ever expect to be in the same room with - let alone sitting down to talk to - Raven, Logan, and Magneto, he wouldn't have hesitated to tell you the idea was insane. But here they are, gathering in an unoccupied classroom to discuss the shape of things.

Forge hasn't been here long, of course, but even he can see there are some things going on that need fixing. It's not that he has a problem with Steve Rogers running things; hell, if there was an election, he'd probably vote for the guy himself. But there hasn't been an election, and that's the problem. There's no real organization at all.

So that's one thing he wants to push for. But before he does that, he thinks they should all have a talk. Because for all that equality is admirable and everyone's one big happy family, Forge knows it's important that you stand with the people who, in the end, are like you. It's not something you forget quickly as a member of several minority populations.

"Somebody brought something to drink, right?" he asks as the others filter into the room. "Please tell me we're not trying to do this without booze."
